1. Start out heading West onto RT 25A
2. Go straight on RT 347 West (Nesconset Highway)
3. RT 347 West becomes Veterans Highway
4. Go straight on an access street towards Jericho Turnpike (very short distance)
5.Turn SLIGHT LEFT to get on JERICHO TURNPIKE heading West. (Rt 25)
6.Turn Right onto Larkfield Rd. (Home Depot on this right corner)
7.Turn Righto onto Burr Rd.
8.You have reached your destination. (on the LEFT)

Thanks to all members who contributed NEW handmade items & basket items. Thank you to the refreshment committee for once again coming out to man the tables and to those members who contributed to refreshments with baked goods, juice, milk and water. It's always appreciated. Thank you for all the food pantry items. Thank you to all the businesses who contributed so generously to our unit so we may contribute to others. Thank you to Miller Place School District to allow us the building use. Thank you to the Auction Committee for working so well to pull this event off so well. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Miller Place Homemakers Celebrates 50 Years
Imagine fifty years of this wonderful organization! WOW! We be celebrated on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at the Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mt. Sinai. More than 80 members attended the celebration in "TACKY" Style.
Thank you Lucille, Marilyn and Joan from Terryville Evening unit for joining our celebration.
We were entertained by Graceann reciting The Owl and the Pussy Cat. Dee gave us a workout while she sang. Barbara, Chris and Dotty entertained us with commercials of yesteryear. Thank you Carol, Joanne and Val for announcing our 30+ year members and presenting them with certificates to celebrate their years of dedication to Miller Place Homemakers. Thank you Jane for reading of the proclamations that graciously recognized our unit for all we do for the community.
Thank you Lorraine for working so graciously getting the coffee set up as well as cleaned up. Val and Judy for stepping up as usual and lending Lorraine a helping hand.
Thank you all for your donations to the food pantry. We were able to donate 3 boxes of food. Due to the great raffle gifts you ladies put together and the share of the 50/50, we raised $425. We purchased gift cards from Waldbaums in Rocky Point. Waldbaums' manager was so generous, he gave us an additional $20 gift card. So......with $445 worth of gift cards, we donated them to Sound Beach Community Church, St. Louis de Montfort, St. Anthony's and Trinity Lutheran; all for their food pantries. Miller Place Homemakers rock! Your generosity to support others is overwhelming. Thank you all.

Our Holiday Dinner was held at Majestic Gardens in Rocky Point on Wed., December 14, 2011, 7pm.Food pantry items were collected and donated to three local pantries and board games were collected and donated to St. Anthony's Bread! You ladies rock!

Whether extreme or mild, sometimes we need someone to turn to that will not judge us but will guide us or just listen to us. Her # is in the program or you may approach her at any meeting or class.
